“You Are Not Doing God a Favor…”

Why do we think we are “doing God a Favor” by waking up every morning or attending worship when it’s convenient?

The ONLY reason you are awake is because HE still has something for you to do.

When my eyes open in the morning…the first words out of my mouth are “Thank you, Lord. Thank you for another day to get it right…”

We have become a society that believes that they created God, instead of him creating us. Many believe that they are wiser than the one who created us. We tend to "rationalize" God's existence & importance through the lenses of our own personal lives and not God's. He doesn't adhere to our thought processes or common sense. We tend to believe that God models his commands by us, instead of us understanding & being obedient to His.

The Lord said in Isaiah 55:7-9 (NKJV): ”7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. 8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
